There are films, then there are good films, and then comes the cinematic masterpieces that demand reverence of the highest degree, and the ones who make these moving art pieces are the visionary filmmakers. Among them, Christopher Nolan is kept in the highest regard for making some of the most inexplicably outstanding masterpieces in modern-day cinema.

And with a resume that contains projects undertaken by the director, almost every single one of his creations has been nothing but smashing blockbusters. Therefore, when asked whether he would be able to make a film in the MCU, Robert Downey Jr. came up with one of his usual quirky responses to hint that he might not be the right person to helm it.
Robert Downey Jr. Says Christopher Nolan Couldn’t Have Made AnAvengersMovie
Time after time, no matter how relatively simple or complex the subject has been, there hasn’t been a single film by legendary creatorChristopher Nolanthat hasn’t left a deep impact on the audience in history. No matter what the plot might be, the complex yet intriguing nature of the filmmaker’s narrative style has captured the hearts and minds of many, which has led to his meteoric rise in fame. But despite possessing such talents,Robert Downey Jr. believes that he is not cut out to direct anAvengersfilm.
After recently collaborating with theIron Manstar on his latest war/drama masterpieceOppenheimer, the duo was on a promotion tour of the film. During this time, they also happened to get on an episode ofWIRED’sThe Web’s Most Searched Questions. Here, one of the questions in question was what wouldThe Avengershave been like if theDunkirkdirector had created it. While Nolan said that he would’ve used the least amount of CGI possible along with a whole lot of Tony Stark at the forefront, Downey Jr. said:

“If Christopher Nolan had directed The Avengers, we would still be shooting it.”
Playfully pointing to the director’s attention to the minutest of details and the wariness to the use of CGI in his films, the production would’ve stretched for many years. One thing to remember is that while he may not make an MCU film, he had previously madeThe Dark Knighttrilogy, which is still regarded as one of the best superhero films in history.

Why IsOppenheimerBeing Called A Masterpiece?
With the release of his latest project, Christopher Nolan has yet again reminded the world of his potential withOppenheimer. Even with the pre-release reviews, the film was being called the director’s finest work yet, and that is all thanks to the uncanny yet enchanting way of narration that glues the audience to their seats, along with the larger-than-life cinematography, there are no questions regarding why it’s being hailed as a modern-day masterpiece by every single one of its audiences.
