Doctor WhoTo Get A Spin-off With Jemma Redgrave
UNIT was first introduced inDoctor Whoback in 1968 and since then has been an essential part of the series. While the revival series only saw UNIT’s return in the fourth season with David Tennant’s Doctor. The task force did have mentions previously though. Jemma Redgrave made her appearance as Kate Stewart in theDoctor Whospecial The Day of the Doctor as the Head of Scientific Research.
Redgrave worked alongside Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi as well as Jodie Whittaker. Now she will be starring in her own spin-off as Stewart and fighting against aliens when the Doctor is off-world. The series has always been commended for its strong and natural portrayal of women in power. From Rose Tyler, and Clara Oswald to the Doctor themself, there has been no shortage of strong female figures. Especially because even as their companions, they always have a bigger role to play than that of a side character. Russel T Davies will be looking into the spin-off and bringing to life UNIT as the fans have been waiting to see.

YESSSSSS!! Absolutely the best jumping point currently for a spinoff. I hope it has a rotating cast with former companions & new/established UNIT agents. Kind of a mission impossible vibe.
