The death of John Wick in the recent franchise has left the audience in an emotional state as they say goodbye to their favorite assassin for almost a decade. Director Chad Stahelski recently revealed that they also planned a mysterious alternative ending forJohn Wick.

As per the plot of the movie, John Wick fights for his freedom from the High Tables as he challenges Bill Skarsgård’s Marquis de Gramont in a duel. Though he was able to get his freedom he lost his life in the fight. The fans of Keanu Reeves as John Wick are still in shock over the death of the lead.
John Wick’sdirector Chad Stahelski reveals its alternative ending plot
The Hollywood Reporter recently interviewed the director Chad Stahelski about the latest release featuringKeanu Reeves. Stahelski made a shocking revelation as he shared about the team shooting an alternate ending to the movie. He shared that the team received negative feedback for the screening of the alternate ending, hence they kept the emotional original ending.
Stahelski said,
“I haven’t told too many people this, but we did additional photography and shot a different ending. It wasn’t at the duel, but we did reveal that John Wick … There was a different way to do [the funeral scene], and we wanted it to be a little bit more mysterious. That’s why you see the puppy look up at the end [during the funeral scene].
So we did one test screening, and the audience revolted pretty hard about [the new ending shot during additional photography]. So we thought that we nailed it the first time, and to the studio’s credit, they didn’t even blink. That night, literally in the theater, we all got it. We all saw the reactions, and we all high-fived each other and said, “We have a good movie.”
John Wickis a core action movie, but it plays on the theme of an emotional farewell for the lead as he finally freed himself from the world of crime.

Stahelskidid not exactly confirm it but as per his statement, the alternate ending might have given hints about John Wick’s survival. With a massive fan following of the movie franchise and Keanu Reeves, people would have loved another sequel to the epic hitman John Wick. The killing off of the star hitman has given a creative and reasonable end to the story, but it has disappointed fans of the actor.
The director had hinted towards makingJohn Wick 5in the future if he and Keanu Reeves come up with an interesting plot for reviving the character.
