In the third installment of his hit action franchiseThe Expendables 3, action starSylvester Stallonecast actor Glen Powell in a supporting role. Powell played the role of Thorn, a hacker and a drone pilot in the film which features action heavy-hitters such as Jason Statham, Mel Gibson, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, and more.

At such a desperate time, the young actor reportedly turned to the legendary Sylvester Stallone for body-building advice. Powell credits a bucket full of protein powder and an unusual piece of advice from Stallone as his hack to looking well-built on camera. In an interview withMen’s Journal, he said,

“Just get your forearms and traps to bulge and you’ll look massive on camera.”

Powell took the advice and was able to share screen space with the likes of Henry Cavill. Audiences can also see his amazing physique in last year’s blockbuster hitTop Gun: Maverick.
