Starfieldwas one of the most anticipated video games of 2023, and with its early access that came out on September 1, it has expectedly taken over the gaming landscape. Developer Bethesda had already described its ambitious space RPG as a “modder’s paradise” because of the game’s huge variety of possiblemodifications. Although the full version of the game is still a couple of days from being released, players have been creatively utilizing its character modding option, creating hilarious (and terrifying) character presets to share with the community.

And it just makes sense that the first of probably many character presets that stands out on theStarfieldNexus Mods page is none other than the iconic George Costanza.

You can Actually Play Starfield as Seinfeld’s George Costanza
If there is one thing that undeniably makesStarfieldstand out from the rest of the competition, it’s the game’s endless array of possible modifications, and having the option of playing as Seinfeld characters is just the amazing cherry on top. Bethesda games have a long history of letting players create their own characters, and naturally, the community has come up with some great and horrifying creations. For example, remember when Anakin Skywalker, or an abomination that looked like him, made an appearance inSkyrim?
We also remember some pretty scary customized character faces inFallout 4, which could’ve been taken straight out of nightmares. However, it is just tradition to try and create iconic characters in Bethesda titles, and the trend does not show any signs of slowing down inStarfieldeither. Although it can take some practice to get the faces just right, the character preset of Seinfeld’s George Costanza looks absolutely familiar.

The best thing about theStarfieldcharacter creation option is that players don’t even have to spend too much time creating the characters themselves. You can, fortunately, just choose an already-created character preset from the game’s Nexus Mods page and go on your space adventure as George Constanza. It actually feels perfect that the first major character preset in the RPG is the iconic Seinfeld character, for all the right reasons.

The Process of Creating George Costanza in Starfield
The George Constanza character preset inStarfieldwas created by a modder called dunce13, and this is basically his one and only Nexus Mods contribution until now. That’s not surprising because it looks like the player definitely took their time with the character model, as the resemblance to the actor is undeniably uncanny. The description notes for the preset also explain just how long it took to get the likeness right.
dunce13 claims that they spent exactly “2 hours” to perfectly recreate the George Costanza model inStarfieldso that other players don’t have to go through the same pain and can “enjoy” the character preset. When considering the inspiration behind putting the iconic Seinfeld character in Bethesda’s new game, all roads lead to a post on theStarfieldReddit page, on which five months ago, user TJDIndustries complained about losing excitement for the space RPG. The top comment under the post criticized the original uploader’s thoughts on the game, calling it “some George Constanza mentality.”

Ever since Osama was gifted the glorious PS2 more than two decades back, video games have formed a major part of his life, ranging from spending hours playing through every single Dragon Ball game he could find to witnessing the gaming industry evolve into something extraordinary in modern times. Building his collection of PlayStation consoles throughout the years all the way up until PS5, he prefers single-player experiences like The Last of Us and Persona, while also letting off steam on a daily basis with casual EA Sports FC matches. But the current rise in online multiplayer shooters will never really appeal to his old-school self.
