The actor reportedly returned not solely for the paycheck, but for the sweet revenge. According toYahoo News, Sean Connery wanted to get back atJames Bondproducer Albert R ‘Cubby’ Broccoli who “cheated him out of millions when he refused to make him an equal partner on the films in the 1960s.” WithNever Say Never Again, the Scottish actor had a hand in the production for the first time.
Orlando Bloom –Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales(2017)
The Lord of the Ringsstar appeared in the original trilogy films before calling it quits as he wanted to do different projects. While he admitted to having fun in making the movies, the franchise continued without Will Turner.
Orlando Bloomhad a change of mind when he returned for the fifth movie with a new persona. He toldIGN, “I’m of course Davey Jones now, so I’m down the bottom of the ocean. Vin Diesel –xXx: Return of Xander Cage(2017)

Jean-Claude Van Damme –Universal Soldier: The Return(1999)

Michael Keaton –The Flash(2023)

Linda Hamilton –Terminator: Dark Fate(2019)

The success of the duology paved the way for more sequels, but they did not perform as outstanding as the original ones. When Cameron left the project,Linda Hamiltondid not return as well.
It was only when the Canadian filmmaker himself helmed a sequel in 2019 that convinced the actress to try it one more time. The presence of the duo, however, was not enough to revive the franchise.
