“Once I’m in there, even before the cameras are rolling, I try to convince them that I am an idiot. With [Pat] Buchanan for example, I ask him, ‘So, where is we now?’ and he goes, ‘Well, we’re in Washington DC.’ I go, ‘Well, is that anywhere near America?’…so, they realize that they are in the room with an absolute ignoramus.”

One of the characters that Sacha Baron Cohen played inDa Ali G Show, was the gay, Austrian fashion reporter Bruno Gehard. “At one point I asked them, ‘Can I see the “Ascha”,’ and they dropped their trousers and showed me their buttocks. Then I go, ‘Is it possible to see a little bit of the front?’ and they go, ‘No man’…and eventually he pulls down his trousers and underpants. He is there fully n*ked, and he lets out this primeval scream…I tell him, ‘Say hi to everyone at Gay TV’, and he goes, ‘Gay TV?’”
The news reportedly caught the wrestler off guard and he ended up punching the cameraman in his face.
