One thing most fans would notice in many of Zack Snyder’s films is how the director would give predators the most satisfying punishment. The portrayal of women in movies has long been an enduring debate, which is terribly disappointing because it shouldn’t be that way in the first place.

Snyder’s roster of projects such asSucker Punch,Watchmen,300,Army of the Dead, and even the 4-minute filmSnow Steam Iron, tackled abuse and violence, and the most interesting part is the predators always get what they deserve.

Zack Snyder On His Movies Addressing Abuse And Violence
During an exclusive interview viaYouTube, directorZack Snyderwas asked about his particular approach in most of his films where s*xual predators are often met with violent consequences. This was also seen in the latest trailer ofRebel Moon. Snyder responded:
“I haven’t sat down with a psychiatrist or a therapist to talk about this one, but since the dawn of time, there’s this imbalance in the way the basic society has been made up. Shockingly, we live inside of this even though we’re civilized people. We have huge respect for each other if we’re living civilized lives, and that all people have self-governance and dignity.”

TheJustice Leaguedirector further explained what he finds infuriating about these evil motives and noted that there should be a corresponding punishment for such actions:
“Inside of that, there’s this paradox that, if abused, if taken to some sort of animal level, there’s this potential for abuse, and that’s a thing I don’t really like. I find it important to underline the consequences for that behavior. I don’t know if I’m doing it on purpose, but it definitely is a thing I don’t like.”

While Snyder admitted he does not have a specific reason or agenda for addressing this controversial topic in his movies, it is sort of evident that the filmmaker is naturally drawn to stories where justice is ultimately served.

Zack Snyder’sRebel MoonWill Feature Explicit Scenes
Zack Snyder’s upcoming science fiction epicRebel Moonwill once again display scenes that depict sxual abuse. The film will feature “sequences of strong violence, sxual assault, bloody images, language, sxual material and partial ndity,” which calls for an R rating.
In his interview withEntertainment Weekly, Snyder revealed fans should anticipate bloody and gruesome scenes from the upcoming film:
“I’d written the script in a vacuum, just as I would in my normal aesthetic — a very hard, very like s*xy, violent, crazy, everything’s all at 11.”
It is absolutely satisfying to see predators get a taste of their own medicine in the cruelest way, and Snyder has shown a lot of that in many of his projects.
