ActorRobert Pattinson‘sTheBatman(2022), was a massive success. The film, which grossed $771 million worldwide, featured Paul Dano as the Riddler but, there was one particular Hollywood star that fans wanted to see as Joker in the movie,Kristen Stewart, however, she was not really interested in the role. While speaking withVariety, she was asked about taking up the role and she responded,
“I love the energy behind that, but… It’s really been done so well. I feel like, maybe, we don’t traipse over, but I love that gusto. Let’s figure something else out. I’m totally down to play a freaky, scary person,”adding,“Not ‘no,’ but not the most stoked I’ve ever been. Let’s do something new.”
It would be an awkward reunion as it has been roughly one decade since Pattinson and Stewart ended their highly-publicized relationship.

One of the main reasons why Pattinson and Stewart’s relationship ended was because of her affair with herSnow White and the Huntsmandirector Rupert Sanders. In 2012, Stewart was photographed kissing the director, who was married to model Liberty Ross at the time.
This didn’t end their relationship instantly, in fact, Pattinson and Stewart were spotted together two days later in Los Angeles. In May 2023, they officially ended their toxic relationship. The cheating scandal damaged Stewart’s image and she even issued a public statement apologizing to Pattinson, calling her pictures with Sanders a “momentary indiscretion.”
