Tom Cruise is mad because his movie, ‘Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One’, will only be shown in IMAX theaters for one week in July. Another movie called ‘Oppenheimer’ will be shown in IMAX theaters for the next three weeks.

If this is true, is there a logistical reason why Dead Reckoning Part One can’t play on IMAX screens for three weeks and Oppenheimer can?

It’s not like the general audience will prefer an atomic bomb movie over a Tom cruise top-tier action movie

In fairness I don’t know why Paramount decided to release it when they did right in the middle of summer. The last two Mission Impossible films released on the last weekend of July at the tail end of the summer schedule and played really well through August and into September

Murphy and Cruise have not yet spoken about this matter. Netizens are questioning who IMAX would prefer in this case. Many people believe that this situation will have no impact on Cruise’s movie because the buzz surrounding it will drive people to the theaters to watch it. People have been curious about which movie will be a major smashing blockbuster since the release dates ofOppenheimerandMission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Onewas announced by the makers.
