The 2010 Tim Burton film was the live-action adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s novel of the same name which had also been adapted before in animation by Disney. The movie starred Mia Wasikowska, Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Helena Bonham Carter, and started the popular trend of Disney’s live-action adaptations.

The confidence from the first movie’s success that motivated the makers turned out to be a bad decision as it failed this time.Alice Through the Looking Glassnot only ended with abysmal reviews but also a disastrous box office run.

This time, the movie was helmed by James Robin while Tim Burton was attached to it as the producer. Similar to the first film, the critics hated the project but this time it failed to attract audiences as well. The critics bashed the movie saying it had nothing to do with Lewis Carroll’s story and even complained about it being offensive and loud.
