Chan is of course a multi-faceted actor and he can do anything and everything as an actor but he also wants the world to see it. During an interview, the 69-year-old actor expressed his desire to explore more genres of movies except action.

Jackie Chan says he wants to be more than an action Superstar

Jackie Chanrose to prominence as one of the biggest action superstars. Many people took inspiration from theRush Houractor as he was the epitome of a perfect action star. Fans all around the world know him for some of his great characters from the hit movies. But the actor is averse to working in just action movies. During an interview, theDrunken Masteractor explained that he can play a character in many other genres as well but the movies that he gets offered are action movies.

Chan appeared for an interview during the promotion of his movieThe Foreigner.While talking about his acting career, the Hong Kong actor said,

“I want to change, I don’t want to always do Rush Hour 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. I want to let the audience know I am the actor because action star life is very short. I want to be like Robert De Niro. Like you’re able to do so many roles.”

Chan also mentioned that he always gets roles offered which is playing the part of police from China or Hong Kong or a Spy from China. The actor further explained that there is much more left for him to explore in the movies.

Jackie Chan started his career as a stuntman

During an interview, the actor talked about the start of his career. TheRide Onactor said he started his career as a stuntman and he knows all the difficulty a stuntman has to go through. The 69-year-old actor said,

“I started as a stuntman. I know their devotion and pain. I have to speak for them. So I established this action film week to reward those action actors and stunt doubles.”

Chan also talked about how he feels when he gets compared to the legendBruce Lee. While talking about the late actor and martial artist, theCity Hunteractor said,

“I’ve followed the Bruce Lee style. One of my posters says ‘The Second Bruce Lee – Jackie Chan’ but the ‘Second’ and ‘Jackie Chan’ are much smaller than the huge ‘Bruce Lee.”

The Skpitraceactor says it is impossible to say that he has surpassed Lee in any way. Chan also further added that he cannot dare to compare himself to the late actor.
