Everybody’s belovedHarry Potteractor, Daniel Radcliffe is now a happy new dad but claimed the experience to be a terrifying one. He elaborated that now that he has embarked on this journey with his longtime partner, Erin Darke, it is a terrifying but also an incredibly rewarding experience to raise his own child and he loves every second of it. Thus, he is excited about whatever plans the future has in store for him.
The actor welcomed his firstborn with his longtime girlfriend earlier this year. Although the actor still has kept every single detail of his newborn hidden from the outer world, he could not stop himself from sharing his brand new experience in an interview with E!

Daniel Radcliffe Is Intimidated by His Baby
The Harry Potter actor,Daniel Radcliffehas recently embarked on a new chapter in his life, including returning to Broadway and welcoming his first baby with his girlfriendErin Darke.
Until now, nothing specific is known about the baby, as the actor and his partner have kept the matter under great secrecy. However, on the opening night ofMerrily We Roll Alongon October 8th, the actor could not help but gush about the new member of his family. He revealed toE!,
“He’s great, it’s amazing, There’s a short answer and a long answer to that. And the short answer is it’s awesome and he’s the best thing that’s ever happened. It’s frankly terrifying to have a human being in the world that I care this much about,–and that everything he does is going to affect how I feel about my life for the rest of my life. So, you know, that’s intimidating.”
The actor still cannot fathom how blessed he has been and how incredibly happy he is about his son’s arrival. Consequently, he feels a bit intimidated, as it is only recently that he has realized the love he has for his child is greater than anything else. This realization will forever influence his every decision in life.
In addition to all the philosophical realizations about life, he has also learned that with parenthood, sleep is something he often has to sacrifice. And thus, is still adjusting to the newborn’s schedule. As he said,
“There’s no relation to what we need for sleep–The less I sleep, the more I sleep at night. But the less they sleep, the less they sleep! And the more they sleep, the better they sleep! It makes no sense, but it is apparently how they work.”
He continued,
“The fact that there is a creature in the world that can give you the worst night of your life,–and then you wake up in the morning and go over to them and they turn around and smile and you’re like, ‘I don’t care about any of the things you just did.’ That’s pretty cool.””
All in all, Daniel Radcliffe is enjoying every bit of his new life and is grateful for the love he has been receiving over social media since the revelation.

The actor was seen casually taking a stroll around the streets of New York with his girlfriend Erin Darke, pushing a stroller in April of this year. The internet nearly broke when his representatives later confirmed the news that indeed the actor is a new dad. A few months later in July, Radcliffe revealed he had a son, in an interview withEntertainment Tonightstating,
“It’s crazy and intense, but he’s wonderful and Erin is amazing,–It’s a real privilege also to have this time with him. I’m able to kind of just be here with him a lot, which is lovely.”
The actor has decided to keep the name and any further details of the baby under wraps for now. He has chosen not to expose the child to the media just yet and, therefore, also requests respect for their privacy.
The actor plans to spend most of his time with his baby now that he is a father. He revealed that he would like to involve himself a bit less in work to spend some quality time with his family after working tirelessly for decades. As he stated,
“It hasn’t really yet affected things, but I really like spending time with him, and I think I’m gonna miss him when I go back to work later in the year,–So I will definitely be, I think, a bit more selective not more selective, I’ve always been selective, but I’ll probably work a little bit less for the next few years.”
