Avengers: Endgameremains one of the most popular movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for various reasons. Sure, the epic battle between the superheroes and Thanos’ force was one to remember. But ultimately, Iron Man’s sacrifice during the final moments of the battle served as the climax.
Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man stole the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos in the heat of battle. He then proceeded to perform the iconic snap that wipes the Mad Titan and his army from Earth. However, the Iron Man’s sacrifice may have set up the events that will take place inDoctor Strange3.

Did Iron Man’s Iconic Snap inAvengers: EndgameLead toDoctor Strange 3?
Even though it has been more than four years since the release ofAvengers: Endgame,Iron Man’s sacrifice remains fresh in the heads of many MCU fans. After all, it led to the farewell of one of the biggest superstars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,Robert Downey Jr.
While most fans loved the scene, they may have looked over the fact that it could lead to the return of a major villain inDoctor Strange 3.YouTube user @bruno1 proposed a theory about the aftermath of Iron Man’s heroic sacrifice.
As visible in the above-attached video, a new character is introduced in the post-credit scene ofDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.The new character is none other than Clea, the niece of Dormammu.
Dormammu was the villain in the 2016 filmDoctor Strange.The titular character made a pact with the demonic tyrant to leave Earth after an endless battle in the Dark Dimension, thanks to the powers of the Time Stone.
However, following Stark’s snap, the Infinity Stones were returned to their specific timelines. On the other hand, the main timeline’s stones were already turned into atoms by Thanos. As a result, it could entice Dormammu to target Earth once again.
After all, the current version of Doctor Strange doesn’t have the Time Stone with him to fight the dark forces. Even in the post-credit scene, Clea claims that she will fix the incursion caused by Stephen Strange, before opening a portal to the Dark Dimension.

IsDoctor Strange 3Under Development at Marvel?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in Phase 5. However, no new movie featuring Doctor Strange has been confirmed by the studio yet. There is still a possibility that the fan-favorite character will return for another solo movie beforeAvengers: Secret Wars,which is all set to release in 2026.
If the movie indeed gets a green light from the studio, the plot is already set in place for the next adventure of Doctor Strange.
He will most likely indulge in battle once again with Dormammu. But how will Doctor Strange manage to keep away the demonic tyrant from Earth without the Time Stone? Well, fans will have to wait for the release of the third installment of the movie to find out.
