We love our favorite celebrities getting candid during interviews and sharing an unseen version of them. However, sometimes things tend to get a little out of hand and downright uncomfortable to watch. Something similar happened with Vin Diesel in the picture and many would affirm that his approach to the interview was quite unprofessional.
Back in 2016, Vin Diesel found himself in the middle of a controversy when he appeared for an interview with Brazilian YouTuber, Carol Moreira. Vin Diesel, despite the interviewer trying to change the subject, could not stop hitting on her and calling her beautiful. While Carol Moreira maintained her composure and went on with the interview, she later posted it on her YouTube channel stating that she was uncomfortable the entire time.

Vin Diesel Makes Interviewer Uncomfortable

The actor was talking about his film,Saving Private Ryan,butVin Dieselcouldn’t stop pouring compliments on compliments on Carol Moreira during the interview. Moreira was seen getting more and more uncomfortable with each compliment as she tried to change the subject multiple times. After all, she was just there to do her job. At one point, Diesel even asked Moreira out for a lunch date and added that he loves her.
“God, you’re so beautiful. God, she’s so beautiful. Am I right or wrong? I mean look at her. How am I supposed to do this interview? Tell me your story. Let’s get out of here. Let’s go. Let’s go have lunch. My God, I love her! Guys, really? Look how beautiful she is. You guys think this is a joke. How am I supposed to sit here when I’m looking at such beauty? She’s so beautiful. I’m in love. I’m in love with the interviewer!”
Moreira uncomfortably laughed at Diesel’s uncalled-for and cringeworthy advances as she didn’t know how to react to the excessive and unprofessional compliments.

Vin Diesel Apologizes for his Behaviour
As Moreira posted the interview on her YouTube channel, she filmed a little introduction calling out Diesel’s behavior. She stated that Diesel interrupted the interview three times and that she absolutely didn’t like it. Moreira added that she had no idea how to react to the delicate situation.
“He began to hit on me in the middle of the interview, say that I was pretty, and he interrupted the interview three times to talk about it. I was laughing, completely uncomfortable. I was not sure what to do. I just laughed because it was a very delicate situation. I did not like it. At the time I did not know how to react, but you will see that I was uncomfortable, it was not nice that he interrupted my work.”
After Moreira uploaded the video, Diesel was prompted to respond. He did so by sharing the uncut version of the interview and apologized if he had offended anyone. In his defense, he stated that he was just trying to make the interview playful.
“As you know, I try to keep my interviews playful and fun, especially when I’m in the Xander Zone…But if I offended anyone, then let me apologize because that is never my intention.”
This probably wasn’t one of Diesel’s top interviews as he faced a lot of backlash for his behaviour. You can check out the entire interview on Carol Moreira’s self-named YouTube channel.
