During an appearance onE! Newsas a part of the marketing campaign for her new film release,No Hard Feelings,Jennifer Lawrencementioned having an unpleasant school experience due to a school bully. She threw further light on the incident sharing that her school bully once asked her to hand out invitations to her birthday party and didn’t even invite the actress.

“Ugh, there was this one girl at school who handed me a stack of invitations to her birthday party, but I was not invited.”
Her middle school life was not for long since she dropped out of her school to chase her dreams.

In an appearance onBill Whitaker at 60 Minutes, she was asked about finishing high school. She responded,

“I dropped out of middle school. I don’t technically have a GED or a diploma. I am self-educated.”
She chose to drop formal education at the young age of 14 to pursue acting but found it difficult to explain it to others.
“It’s so hard to explain, it was just an overwhelming feeling of, ‘I get this. This is what I was meant to do.’ And to get people to attempt to understand that when you’re 14 years old, wanting to drop out of school and do this and your parents are just like, ‘You’re out of your mind.'”
While her parents were not supporting her dropout decision, she convinced her slowly and steadily. She once told Andy Cohen,
“Well, I slowly tricked them. At first, it was like, ‘Oh, it’s just gonna be until here.”
She continued,
“It’s a lot of details, but I can promise you that my parents thought they were doing the right thing, and I was very conniving. I’ll take the bullet.”
While she dealt with lots of troubles along the way, success soon knocked at her door as Lawrence filmedWinter’s Boneat 18 which earned her first Oscar nomination in 2011. TheNo Hard Feelingsgrossed $79 million worldwide gaining positive critics.
