However, they are not legally divorced and the pair continue to speak highly of each other in interviews and media interactions.

Many Hollywood celebrities have been known to be a part of the Church of Scientology and despite their denial, Leah Remini, a former Scientologist has come out and claimed that both Smith and Pinkett Smith were a part of this group.

Remini (known forThe King of QueensandKevin Can Wait) revealed that the Smiths even started a Scientology school at the time. She toldThe Daily Beast,

“I know Jada’s in. I know Jada’s in. She’s been in Scientology a long time. I never saw Will [Smith] there, but I saw Jada at the Celebrity Centre. They opened up a Scientology school, and have since closed it. But Jada, I had seen her at the Scientology Celebrity Centre all the time.”

Both Smith and Pinkett Smith have denied their involvement in Scientology. However, Remini’s claims seem to put a doubt in their claims as she has been open about the controversial activities in the organization, It seems the real truth of this matter will never be known.

Will Smith SaysI Am Legend 2Is in The Scripting Stages

One of Will Smith’s most popular films is the 2007 post-apocalyptic thrillerI Am Legend. Although his character died in the theatrical version, he survived in the alternate ending and the makers are planning a sequel based on this ending. The sequel is now official and Smith gave an update about the film at the recent Red Sea Film Festival.

Smith revealed that the sequel will follow the events of the alternate ending of the first film and will also star Michael B. Jordan. He also claims that the film is in the scripting stages (maybe even completed). He said, (viaDeadline)

“We’re going with the mythology of the DVD version where my character lives, and I can’t tell you anymore. I have a call with Michael B. Jordan tomorrow. We’re really close. I am probably giving up too much information … the script just came in.”

The alternate ending of the first film provided a lot of exciting possibilities for his character and the inclusion of Jordan will surely elevate the events of the sequel. As of now, no release date has been announced and filming is expected to begin sometime next year.
