When it comes to bonafide Hollywood stars, the one thing everyone has is the ability to perform in front of the camera, something that is a given with their job description. But the best among them bring out something that most lack in their performances. Tom Hardy is one of those few stars who has the ability to bring that raw intensity with him in his actions in front of the camera.

Looking at his track record for creating some of the best and most impactful films with his exemplary performances, it’s almost hard to imagine that he too was once just another new guy in the industry. During those initial years, he was an actor who did not possess the confidence and charisma that he is known around the world for today.
Tom Hardy Was Barely Able To Act In Front Of The Camera While Shooting ForBand Of Brothers
Popular for his unparalleled ability to bring an almost visceral level of reality to the characters that he plays in his films, there are no doubts in people’s minds when it comes to just how capable English actorTom Hardyis when it comes to performing in front of the camera. Numerous films and TV shows later, the star is almost like a veteran in the eyes of the audience, but this wasn’t always the case. In fact, in one of the first projects of his career, he was so nervous about acting out his part that he felt he was going through hell.
In a past interview,The Dark Knight Risesstar talked about the initial days of his career when he had just entered into the business and was cast for a very small yet important role in the 2001 war drama TV seriesBand Of Brothers. He remembers his days trying to get into the mind of the character, who was a martyred World War II veteran named John Janovec, who had living relatives, which brought a lot of pressure on him to make his performance as realistic as possible while also trying to understand the art of acting since he was new. He said:

“Band of Brothers was my first job so I was virtually out of the frying pan and into the fire, really. I’d not had previous experience with working in front of the camera, so there was dealing with that. Also, I had the research material — not that I’d need it. I mean, I was in two episodes and had twelve lines. That was the sum total of work [I] had to do. But nonetheless, I would work just as hard trying to portray someone whose relatives are still around. Obviously, nobody wants to go out there and say, ‘This is my big moment.’ And I’m playing John Janovec, who is dead. He died for freedom.”
But against these odds, Hardy performed his role with so much emotional intensity that he left a lasting impression on the audience, and the rest is history.
