Recalling the surreal story of his casting to i-D, Cloud stated that he was found by a casting scout on the street, and because she“seemed legit”he ended up getting her number. While both Cloud and his friend believed that it was a scam, the actor ended up dialing the right number.

“I definitely thought it could be some kind of scam. But I ended up getting the agent’s phone number because she seemed real legit. They asked my buddy to come in too, and he said, ‘No, fck that, it’s bullsit.”
The friend couldn’t have been more wrong as what followed was a life-changing event for Cloud. Cloud couldn’t believe he was handpicked to become a star since didn’t look like one. However, it all made sense once he learned about his role.

“They didn’t tell me anything about Euphoria. Then they brought me back in and they showed me the role, and it made more sense. Because in my mind I was like, ‘They stopped me because I look like I could be a star?’ Then I’m like, no, it’s because I look like I could be a drug dealer.”
Things quickly changed for the better for Cloud. He stated that the only difference between him and already-famous celebrities likeSydney SweeneyandZendayawas that, unlike him, they were trying to be famous; he just grabbed an opportunity.

Angus Cloud’s Family Release a Statement about His Death
Confirming his passing, Cloud’s family released a statement to PEOPLE where they talked about how the young actor had just buried his father, Conor Hickey, the previous week, adding more heartache to the already heartbreaking news.
“Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

The cause of Cloud’s death is unknown at the moment. While there are rumors and speculations going around, nothing is confirmed and it is best to not pay any attention to them. We hope Cloud’s family finds the strength needed in this difficult time.
