In her acceptance speech, Emily Blunt mentioned that her co-star inGideon’s Daughter,Bill Nighy, used to do things that made her cringe. In an interview with several reporters, she explained her statement (viaYouTube):
“Only ‘cause he was playing my dad, so he’d go out of his way to do dad-like things to make me cringe, and he’s hilarious. He’d make kind of dad comments, but it’s just an ongoing joke between us that he would try and embarrass me at any given opportunity which he did very well.”
