The actor was reportedly told by a casting director that she had no future in the entertainment industry because of the way she looked. But the most scathing comment was made by Sweeney’s friend’s mother who completely undermined the star’s penchant and skill for sports.

“I’m a very active person. I get hurt. I get bruises. I get cuts. I think I came back from laser tag, and I had rug burns all over my legs because I got really into it. And she sat me up on the counter and told me that no boy will ever love me if I have marks on my body.”

Despite creating flutters with her good looks and talent, Sydney Sweeney was consistently trolled and called out for her physical appearance as a young girl. TheWhite Lotusactor who braved the odds and fended off all the brutal criticisms said that she became a stronger person because of it.

“Something that I’ve really started telling myself is this is the one body I’ll have for the rest of my life. And it does so much for me and I need to appreciate it and I need to love it because I’m not going to get another one”.

With her positive outlook toward her body and appreciation for the way she looked, Sweeney hoped to set an inspiring example for young women across the world who may have faced similar issues in their lives.
