Liam Hemsworth andJennifer Lawrenceplayed the leads as Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorne, respectively inThe Hunger Games. And the couple was seen sharing a beautiful kisson the screen. The scene was romantic and received well by the audience, however, Hemsworth shared in an interview about feeling uncomfortable while doing the kiss.
TheIndependence Day 2star recalled inThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,
“When you look at it on the outside, it looks like a great picture. She’s one of my best friends, I love her. But, if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was so disgusting. Right before the scene, she’d be like, ‘Yeah, I ate tuna’ or ‘I had garlic, and I didn’t brush my teeth.’ And I’d be like, ‘Fantastic, I can’t wait to get in there and taste it!’”
Hemsworth shared that Lawrence purposely did things to make the scene in the movie difficult for him.

Jennifer Lawrence was upset with Liam Hemsworth’s comment
ThePassengersfame came to know about Hemsworth’s remarks on their kiss inTheHunger Gamesafter the episode went viral. In Access’s interview with Lawrence, she shared about being quite upset with the remark by Hemsworth. She said,
“Thank you for reminding me that I’m mad at Liam. It made news everywhere. Where is he?”
Liam Hemsworth‘s statement sounded like the actress intentionally ate strong-smelling meals before their kiss, however, theSilver Linings Playbookactress asserted it was just a coincidence. She said,
“I was never like, ‘Hey Liam, I just ate tuna and garlic on purpose.’ I just would happen to eat something. I didn’t change the way I was eating for the kissing, which is different than doing something on purpose. Is it worse?!”
The actor also joked that she would ensure her breath smelled fresh for only a few prominent celebrities.
“I do that when I’m kissing like Christian Bale or like a real [star] – not when it’s like Josh and Liam,” she said. “For Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, yeah, I’ll brush my teeth. I’ll pop a mint.”
Hemsworth later pretended to be offended by the comment of Jennifer Lawrence. He said,“That’s one of the most awful things I’ve ever heard.”
