TheKabukimonoside quest is a prominent side quest that tests your stealth skills by sending you to assassinate eight high-profile targets across the map. The Ember is one of the targets you assassinate as part of this side quest. Described as part of a “colorful group” of ronin, the only color the Ember leaves behind is red and needs to be taken down for good.

Where To Find Ember in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The Ember hides in Osaka in the Izumi Settsu region of AC Shadows. The ronin is directly southwest of the Osaka Castle, so we recommend making your way to the Osaka Tenshu viewpoint and working your way along the direction. Once you’re close to the road that connects western Osaka to the Kojo Ruins, you will spot a fenced-off camp with smoke jutting into the air. You will find Ember in this camp.

How To Defeat Ember in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The camp is heavily guarded, so you need to be careful with your approach. There are several guards, so it is important to survey the area before making your move. We recommend entering the camp from the southwestern end and climbing the yellow building along the fence.
Peek down below, and you will find the Ember soaking in the bonfire with his comrades by his side. You can then use a smoke bomb to disorient everyone and drop in for the kill. Alternatively, you can use a more explosive approach and detonate the barrels to your left and drop in for a kill while the mob is distracted.
