Pocketpair’s base-building game Palworld takes you to the mysterious island of Palpagos, filled with Pokemon-like creatures called ‘Pals’. Before capturing these Pals and building your base, first, you must create a character. The character creation menu allows you to pick a name and customize the appearance of your character at the start of the game.
Maybe at some point, you might think that it’s time to give your character a new look. Fortunately, Palworld allows you to customize your character appearance using a special furniture item called Antique Dresser. Let’s discuss how you’re able to obtain and use the item to customize your Palworld character.

How To Get the Antique Dresser in Palworld
At launch, Palworld didn’t include an option to customize your character after creation. Fortunately, this was resolved with the v0.2.0.6 update, which introduced the customization feature with an item called Antique Dresser. Once you reach level 22, you can unlock the Antique Dresser in the ‘Ancient Technology’ column under the Technology tab with 2Ancient Technology Points.

How To Edit Your Character Appearance in Palworld
Upon building the Antique Dresser, interact with the furniture piece to access the character customization option. This opens the same menu as the character creation and includes the following customization options: Presets, Body, Face, Hair, and Voice.
It offers in-depth customization options such as changing the body type, gender, color, and much more. Additionally, you can also change your character voice. Click the ‘Okay’ option at the left of the screen to finalize the changes and continue your adventure.
When interacting with Antique Dresser, you will get a prompt message that warns that your character will be defenseless while accessing the customization menu. So ensure to place the furniture in a safe location on your base or assign a Pal to guard you during the process.
