How to Add Song Tracks to Your Instagram Profile Bio

Instagram is rolling out a new feature where you guys can now add a song or any music to your profile bio. The song will be visible on your profile bio page and visitors to your profile can play that song. This means your profile is now more personalized than ever. You can show off what you are currently listening to, maybe a song that defines who you are and what you stand for, flaunt your taste in music or share that new indie song you discovered recently.

The feature is rolling out today but the idea itself isn’t new. Myspace used to allow users to add songs to their profile page back in the day. The steps are fairly simple too.

The song will stay there until you either remove it or replace it with another song. Note that the song won’t play automatically when someone visits your profile. It has to be played/paused manually. I feel this is a good thing because otherwise, people might get annoyed. Imagine opening a profile only to listen to that weird track or song blasting through your phone’s speakers you don’t like, ruining your entire day.

To show off the feature, Instagram has partnered withSabrina Carpenter, pop singer and actress, who has added her new song Taste to her profile. This is a new song that is yet to be released it seems. Just another use case of the feature. Show off your work, a teaser, before the full release.
