However, one particular incident had Liu Yifei’s life flashing before her eyes. Although now the actress has been exposed to a larger audience, her entire experience of the movie world has changed. Thanks to Jet Li, she was able to shoot it, because, in the end, he saved her life.

Liu Yifei has been seen riding horses all throughout the shooting ofMulan.However, that very task almost took her life. While filmingThe Forbidden Kingdomwith Jet Li andJackie Chan, they had an accident that barely saw her escaping death.

“I still remember we had to ride a horse full speed in a line and there was a truck in front of us to [film the sequence]. It was really fast. Somehow, I couldn’t stop the horse. Even though he was going full speed, he was trying to stop my horse, because this was in a very narrow mountain road.”

As she was riding a horse, the actress was going really fast and could not stop the horse no matter how much she tried. Ahead of her was a narrow mountain road with nowhere else to go and she could see her life flashing before her. However,Jet Limanaged to make it right in time to stop her horse.

Liu Yifei wasn’t the only one who escaped such dangerous accidents. Jackie Chan too found himself massively hurt while filmingPolice Story.The actor had to perform a stunt that had him jumping from a pole and shattering through glass. Not only did he fracture his finger in the process, but he also had 2nd degree burns on his palm, a dislocated pelvic bone. He also got an electric shock with a deep cut on his forearm and injured the 7th and 8th vertebrae.
