Tom Cruise didn’t have an ideal childhood
Talking to Parade Magazine in a 2006 interview, the 61-year-old star unraveled his tough experiences as a child. He frankly spoke of his father being a coward while hinting that he might have been mentally ill. While at school, Cruise’s occasional encounters with hefty bullies almost made him vomit. Speaking of his father,Tom Cruiserecalled,
“He was a bully and a coward… the kind of person where, if something goes wrong, they kick you. It was a great lesson in my life – how he’d lull you in, make you feel safe and then, bang!”

The Top Gun actor specializes in the action genre and is famous for his brave stunts on-screen. The only times Cruise does not perform a stunt is when the crew restricts him. Seemingly, his sense of courage transpires from his childhood experiences. The American star was also bullied at school. Cruise expressed,
“So many times the big bully comes up, pushes me. Your heart’s pounding, you sweat, and you feel like you’re going to vomit … I don’t like bullies.”
