Karen Gillan is widely known for her role as Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her role in theGuardians of the Galaxymovies is widely appreciated by both the critics and the fans. AsGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3just hit the theaters, Karen Gillan can be often spotted promoting the latest MCU film. Recently the 35-year-old actress took to her Instagram to recall the awkward incident where she had to attend couples therapy in her Nebula look.

Karen Gillanmade her Marvel debut with 2014’sGuardians of the Galaxydirected by James Gunn. The role of Thanos’ adoptive daughter was indeed a hard job to be pulled off as the makeup alone took around four and a half hours to be applied. But it skyrocketed theJumanjifame to astronomical levels of popularity and she was spotted again in several MCU movies including the iconicAvengers: Endgame.
But theOculusstar had her share of woes while portraying Nebula as at one point she had to attend a therapy session with the makeup. She stated that the timing of the meeting went wrong and interfered with her filming schedule forGuardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3which led to the sudden mishap.

Karen Gillan didn’t stop there and added more about the incident while speaking with Entertainment Tonight. As expected, the therapist was fully startled and continued to laugh throughout the whole session. According to Gillan, she had already informed them that she was at work but still, they certainly didn’t expect to watch her attending the session in her superheroine avatar.
“I don’t know if they were fully prepared for what they got when I logged on. I was late to the session, and I had warned them, ‘Oh, I’m late because I’m at work,’ so they had an inkling, but I don’t think they realized I was going to be in full makeup.The therapist couldn’t stop laughing, actually. I felt bad for her.”

It was indeed one of its kind of experience for Karen Gillan’s therapist.The Big Shortactress married the American comedian Nick Kocher in May last year.

The movie also featured the last Marvel appearances of many actors such as Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldaña, and many others. The threequel movie also put immense focus on Rocket Raccoon’s past and presented one of the best antagonists in the MCU yet. Chukwudi Iwuji as High Evolutionary also received enormous praise.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3has currently grossed more than $300 million worldwide and is expected to cross $500 million globally this weekend. Although the domestic debut of $118 million was lower than its predecessor($146.5 million), the movie was successful in elevating its performance and attracting a huge audience following a series of underwhelming MCU projects.
