Fortniteannouncedmore Transformers skinswill be arriving this October to retail and digital stores. Optimus Prime is already in the current season’s battle pass but more characters from the franchise are being added. The pack features Bumblebee, Megatron, and the Battle Bus…?Fortnite’s iconic vehicle to launch 100 players into the battle-royale setting is now a Transformers. The blog post notes the following:
“TheFortniteBattle Bus is not an official Transformers character, but that doesn’t mean it can’t get in on the fun too.”
The pack also includes1,000 v-bucks(about $8). Each skin has their own back bling and pickaxe. Bumblebee and Megatron’s pickaxe have their own built-in emote while the Battle Bus’ pickaxe does not have a built-in emote. The pack is $24.99 arriving physically to retail stores starting October 13 while digital stores will be getting it eight days later on October 21.

Epic Games, the developers ofFortnite, launched the current season last month on June 9 calledFortnite Chapter 4 Season 3: Wilds. The battle pass as usual includes skins, v-bucks, sprays, emotes, and more. Optimus Prime, the major character featured in this season’s battle pass, is unlockable at level 100.
This threshold ensures that players who want Optimus Prime have to play a ton of Fortnite to unlock the leader of the autobots. Or spend a bunch of money on v-bucks to unlock all the battle pass pages. This new Transformers Pack is only unlockable through a retail or digital purchase. This pack may be more accessible to those who can’t spare hours every week grinding to level 100 in Fortnite. Plus, the pack does give 1,000 v-bucks which can be used towards other cosmetics.
So, Why Not Another Transformer Character for Fortnite?
While it’s unclear as to why this pack includes theFortnitebattle bus as a Transformer, it is a unique approach to selling skins. These skins are likely exclusive to this pack, meaning there will be no way to purchase them separately. Epic Games get away with selling their original skin in this Transformers crossover pack while pulling in those who want Bumblebee and/or Megatron. Die-hard Transformers fans likely would have wanted Starscream or Soundwave as the third skin but it looks like Epic Games is having fun with this pack by having the iconic battle bus transform into a robot.
Whether it’s unlocking Optimus Prime from the Battle Pass or purchasing this new Transformers pack in October, players can play as robots in disguise inFortnite.
