Considering his work for the CW shows with DC characters, the director was also considered to lead the DCU. Greg Berlanti Joins a New Agency, CAA

Greg Berlanti,the TV and film director, has signed a deal with CAA (Creative Artists Agency). Before CAA, the director was with WME and worked for 15 years under the agency. However, considering the ongoing changes in the industry, he wanted to explore more.

Insiders have claimed that the filmmaker made the decision because he“aims to evolve his domain.”Insiders have also shared that the decision is voluntary and “no inciting incident”has caused him to switch agencies. Berlanti was represented by Ari Greenburg at WME.

CAA managing director and co-chairman Bryan Lourd has been looking forward to signing theYoucreator for a while. Berlanti is also known to have a good relationship with the managing director.

The shift may also be the result of Berlanti seeking to explore more field. The director has been exploring his film work with features like Amazon’sMy Policeman,and Apple’sProject Artemis. He has also been working on several projects under his own production company.

Warner Bros. Want Greg Berlanti to Extend His Deal

Greg Berlanti worked with Warner Bros. to develop theArrowversewith DC characters. However, with the DC studios moving ahead with its new plan, it has already canceled the planned projects underArrowverse.

Two of the remaining projects under his plan are the upcoming season ofThe FlashandSuperman & Lois.AndSuperman & Loisis not be based inArrowverse. Berlanti is still in the middle of negotiations with Warner Bros. regarding the $400 million deal.The Broken Hearts Clubdirector signed the deal with the studio in 2018.

When Will Better Late Than Single Season 2 Release on Netflix?

While the deal will come to an end in 2024, Warner Bros. reportedly wants Berlanti to extend the deal, although he has not revealed his decision yet. As DC Studios aims to develop an MCU-like cinematic universe, it has raised uncertainties for Berlanti’s future projects related to DC.

Greg Berlanti is currently working on aGreen Lanternseries with a new director, which is expected to release on HBO Max. Berlanti also has two more years left in his first-look deal with Netflix. He is also working with Apple Studios onProject Artemis,starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum as leads.
