Rebel MoonDirector’s Cut to Surprise Fans
Rebel Moonis easily one of the most anticipated films of the year, especially for the fans of Zack Snyder, who originally wrote the movie as a part of theStar Warsuniverse.
Zack Snyder already confirmed the director’s cut for it which will be exclusive to Netflix saying that fans can expect something more than the usual director’s cut.

As per producer Deborah Snyder who spoke toTotal Film Magazine(ViaGames radar) each cut will likely be 45 minutes to an hour longer.
“We are still tweaking, but they’ll probably be 45-minutes to an hour longer, each one. You get more character. You get a lot more of everything. It’s not just a few deleted scenes.”

Why Zack Snyder PlannedRebel MoonDirector’s Cut?
Zack Snyderis someone who is dearly fond of the idea of a director’s cut. The director spoke at aRebel Moontrailer event:
“I can’t help myself. The hope is for it to come out down the road. It was cool because I think the one thing with Netflix was coming off Justice League, and look, I’ve done since Dawn of the Dead, I did a Director’s Cut for Dawn… Watchmen. I have two, there’s two Director’s Cuts, which is crazy. Yeah, BvS, of course, is one of my favorites, of course. And Justice League, that goes without saying. And so, it was just cool in the initial conversation I was having with Netflix about just this concept of them saying like, ‘Oh, well, why don’t we make it part of the plan?’ That makes it a lot easier.”
He explained more on Netflix’sPR site:
“The director’s [cut] is a settle-in deep dive, which I have notoriously done throughout my career…And with Netflix, we shot scenes just for the director’s cut. So in that way, it’s really a revelation because it gives that second kick at the can for big fans, like a real discovery that they would not [otherwise] get. I’m really excited about it!”
Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Firefeatures an ensemble cast that includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Ed Skrein, and Anthony Hopkins.
