It seems like Facebook has a long way to go when it comes to gaining back the trust of its users. The social networking site is voted theleast trustworthytech company, according to a recent poll conducted byFortune.
The poll, incollaboration with Harris Poll organization, was conducted in October on behalf of around 2,000 US adults.

The poll suggests that only22 percentof users in the US trust Facebook with his or her data. The highest percentage of trust is taken byAmazon with 49 percent, followed by Google (41 percent), Microsoft (40 percent), and Apple (39 percent).
The Mark Zuckerberg-owned company stands last in the poll basisfactorssuch asleadership, ethics, trust, and image.

Just as a reminder, the above ranking can be accredited to the recentFacebook data breach fiascowhich led to unauthorized access to personal data of around 87 million users by Cambridge Analytica during the 2016 US Presidential Elections.
Harris Poll CEO John Gerzema said, “Facebook is in the bottom in terms of trust in housing your personal data. Facebook’s crises continue rolling in the news cycle.”

Facebook has declined to comment on the poll.
Additionally, another poll in relation to the users’ perception of the aforementioned tech majors over the past six months suggests thatFacebook has gained 48 percent negative votesthan the 17 percent positive ones.
Amazon tops the poll with 39 percent positive votesas compared to 10 percent negative ones.
Apple has 25 percent positive and 14 percent negative votes, followed by Microsoft with 23 percent positive and 7 percent negative votes, and Google with 28 percent positive and 16 percent negative votes.
