This year is seeing a repeat of the Dark Heart of Skyrim event in the Elder Scrolls Online, as players take to Skyrim and the Reach to earn event tickets and lots of other goodies. Looking to get in on the fun? Take full advantage of the festivities by following our ESO Dark Heart of Skyrim Guide 2022!

Dark Heart of Skyrim Quest
In order to participate in this event, you will need to either have an ESO+ subscription or have purchased the Greymoor chapter and/or The Reach DLC.
Once you have access to the zones, here is how you join in the fun:
Pro Tip: This quest is OPTIONAL. You do not need to complete it to get the specific event rewards or event tickets. There is NOT a double XP consumable or interactive tool players can receive in this particular event. The quest only needs to be done if you’re looking for a bit of side story.
Dark Heart of Skyrim Rewards
Event Tickets
The Dark Heart of Skyrim is one of the main ESO events in which you’re able to earn tickets to spend at the Impresario! Each day, you can earn one Event Ticket for completing a daily quest in Western Skyrim or the Kyne’s Aegis weekly quest, and one additional Event Ticket for completing a daily quest in the Reach. As always, the items which the Impresario stocks changes from year to year. There are often collectables which can be earned and ‘assembled’ into a desired special mount, furnishing, skin or other game item.
Remember that there is a 12-ticket limit in your inventory, so be sure to spend tickets once you reach the max amount! Otherwise, you may lose out on your tickets for the day.

Glorious Boxes of the Grey Host Pillage
During the Dark Heart of Skyrim Celebration, you may pick up a Glorious Box of the Grey Host Pillage once per day after completing a daily quest in Western Skyrim or The Reach, or after completing the weekly quest for the Kyne’s Aegis trial. They may contain a mix of the following items:
Regular Boxes of the Grey Host Pillage
Regular Boxes of the Grey Host Pillage drop from a wide variety of places, including Delve and World bosses, Harrowstorms, defeating monsters, opening treasure chests and safeboxes, looting Psijic Portals, and harvesting crafting nodes. They can be collected as many times as you wish, and may contain any of the following:
Dark Heart of Skyrim Dailies
to earn your tickets, you have to verify to pick up one of the daily quests before you run off to hunt down monsters! You can earn one ticket per day for completing a daily quest in Western Skyrim and one ticket per day for completing a daily quest in The Reach. This means you can earn a total of two tickets per day!
Western Skyrim – Solitude
In Solitude Hidaver gives out the Bounty quests, Tinzen gives out the Exploratory quests, and Swordthane Jylta gives out the Harrowstorm quests. They are all standing in the same area! You may pick up one quest a day from each of quest giver per character you play. If you wish to do more than one quest a day, you can get around the initial limit by grouping with someone who has a different daily quest than the one you have already done. If they share that quest with you, you can then complete the quest and turn it back in again for the same reward. Note that this trick ONLY applies to the Bounty quests and the Delve quests – you cannot share the Harrowstorm quests with other players.
The Reach – Markarth
In Markarth Gwenyfe gives out the Bounty quests, Bralthahawn gives out the Exploratory quests, and Nelldena gives out the Harrowstorm quests. They are standing nearby each other in the same general area. You may pick up one quest a day from each of quest giver per character you play. If you wish to do more than one quest a day, you’re able to get around the initial limit by grouping with someone who has a different daily quest than the one you have already done. If they share that quest with you, you can then complete the quest and turn it back in again for the same reward. Note that this trick ONLY applies to the Bounty quests and the Delve quests – you cannot share the Harrowstorm quests with other players.
There is also a fourth daily quest in Markarth, which you may pick up from the NPC named Ardanir. This daily will only be available to those who have played through the zone’s main story quest, however, so keep this in mind.

The fifth and final daily quest in The Reach can be picked up in the zone’s solo arena: Vateshran Hollows.
