What is Celebrity Kombat, and what celebrities are shown?
There won’t be many people who have heard ofCelebrity Kombatas it is a relatively obscure project which has been created by AI, and now to the shock of many, it is now available as an actual game on Steam. So far, there have been three different videos from Interdimensional.tv on Twitter which show different rosters of characters from all kinds of backgrounds as they show these celebrities in a fantasy theme. Thanks to these clips it has made many players ask what would these celebrities fight like in aMortal Kombatsetting?
Throughout the three different videos that are currently available, there are far too many characters featured for us to list here. Looking through the videos, there are a lot of well-known and some lesser-known faces that people will recognise. There are characters featured like Harambe, Gandhi, Elmo, Jesus, Cristiano Ronaldo, Beyonce, Mother Theresa, Gordon Ramsey, Ed Boon himself and even Professor Stephen Hawking.

Many people will think this is poor taste as there are some celebrities who would never fight anyone, but there are some people who will find this quite funny. This is who these videos and the game are aimed towards as it isn’t designed to insult these celebrities, but more to poke fun at their quirks whilst also creating such unique mash-ups like Mother Theresa punching Jesus and doing a bone-shattering fatality.

How will this affect Mortal Kombat 1?
Currently, this has been shared by Ed Boon himself as a way to create a bit of humour towards celebrity Kombat, as he even stated in a tweet, “Any scenario that groups me with John Lennon & Prince is fine with me!” which has brought fans to hysterics as they attempt to picture Ed Boon fighting John Lennon in a death match and to see who will be victorious in that legendary battle.
So far, this won’t affectMortal Kombat 1to any degree as it has no actual connection to the major game franchise. Although, never say never as this is only a theory, but there could one day be a limited-time mode that may incorporate this AI-generated project. Truthfully, the odds of that happening are next to zero no matter how funny it would be to see, but we can only dream.
