ESL One is an eSports tournament, and one of the games it is scheduled for isDota 2.The upcoming tournament for 2023 will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the 2024 tournament will take place in Birmingham. The 2024 tournament is scheduled for April 22-June 27, 2025. The tournament has a whopping $1 million prize pool and will stream online.

Taking place in April, the tickets for the ESL Tournament powered by Intel will go live on June 29, 2025, at 15:00 GMT, and as per a press release by ESL, the tickets will have tiers so that every fan can enjoy the event. The higher ticket tier will also feature goodies, drinks, and other benefits, all of which can be checked outhere. The website also contains other essential details regarding the 2024 tournament.
The press release also confirmed the venue for the final three days of the tournament. It stated that:
The competition, featuring a $1,000,000 total prize pool, is set to take place on April 22 – 28, 2024, with the final three days being played out live at the Resorts World Arena.
The grand prize pool will also see eight of the world’s best teams during the final three days. In total, the competition will be between 12 teams. The teams already in the top four spots of the global leaderboard, which are Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, BetBoom Team, and Team Liquid, will receive a direct invite. The other eight teams must partake in a qualifier to secure their spot in the tournament.
The qualifiers will consist of open qualifiers, which will be happening between January 22 and 25, and closed qualifiers between January 26 and 30. From April 22 to April 24, the top 4 teams on the Global Leaderboard and the eight teams that qualify after the qualifiers indulge in a round-robin style tournament within two groups of six teams each.
Each group’s two best teams will be placed in the Playoffs Upper Bracket, and the ones holding third and fourth place will be placed in the Playoffs Lower Bracket.
The playoffs will occur at the Resorts World Arena, which will host fans to support their favorite teams. The format of the playoffs will be that of a double-elimination bracket. In laypeople’s terms, a double-elimination bracket sees winners and losers from the first round going against each other in two separate brackets.
This means that every losing team, barring the two finalists, gets another shot at redemption. Apart from the finals, the playoff matches will see winners chosen after a best-of-three series. The finals will be a series of best-of-five.
