Was the Quest Time-Gated?
Yes, the Dyadic Ascension quest was time-gated. Act 2 of Episode Heresy released on March 11. Before the update dropped, players were left scratching their heads trying to complete the Dyadic Ascension quest in Destiny 2.
Step 5 of the quest simply involved unlocking the Moment of Clarity upgrade from the Shaping Slab, without any apparent clue about how to do so. The game didn’t do a great job explaining that the remainder of the quest was time-gated. This caused a lot of confusion, with many not realizing that the only way to complete this quest would be to wait for the release of Act 2.
