The Flashhas spent years in development and is now ready to leave Speed Force and leap onto the big screen. Well, the film also promises to introduce the most iconic ‘Flash villain’ with a complete look at the sinister Dark Flash.
We are not referring to Grant Gustin’s Scarlet Speedster, which ran for nine phenomenally successful seasons. We are referring to the character played by Ezra Miller, who made his screen debut inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceand other DCEU films.

Miller’s Barry Allen had a significant role in the 2017 filmJustice League, which was meant to pave the way forThe Flash’s solo film. However, delays and a shift in the DC Universe’s focus have slowed it down. That is, until now, because the movie is set to hit theaters on June 16—tomorrow.
So,The Flashis soon to be released in a theater near you, and despite numerous accusations of misconduct leveled against the lead actor, critics have hailed it as the best superhero movie ever made. There are many theories about the movie’s plot and other characters. As you already know, a villain in superhero films can either make or break a story.

The FlashWill Introduce A New Iconic Flash Villain
Comic book fans have been buzzing and excited about the upcomingThe Flashmovie, especially since the identity of the villain, who will be facing off against the Scarlet Speedster was revealed. What do we know about the enigmatic antagonist and his role in this upcomingAndy Muschiettimovie?
Well, this is no denying the fact that the main villain ofThe Flashis one of the film’s major mysteries. But now, through the marketing of the franchise, and obviously the toy reveal,The Flash’spotential villain has been made known. You might be familiar with the character, though, as it is a very old being.

It’s none other than the ‘Dark Flash’. Dark as it represents Death itself in human form. Inthe comic books, the Dark Flash (also known as the Black Flash)has been compared to Death because of his demonic form.We only know that the Dark Flash has one goal, which is to permanently halt Speedsters.
The powers of this Grim Reaper include super speed (obviously), immortality (which means Death cannot perish), and the capacity to both travel through and manipulate time. And, did we mention, he resembles a zombie more than a human?

The Origin of Dark Flash: Explained
Dark Flash or Black Flash has appeared on television several times in bothSmallvilleand the Arrowverse franchise. Additionally, Dark Flash made an appearance in Season 11 ofSmallville, where he also went by the names Speed Demon and Black Racer.
Dark Flash, a character created by Mark Waid and Paul Pelletier, made his debut inThe Flashin 1999.Actually, he is Walter West, but he is The Flash/Wally West in a different timeline. Walter’s grim journey to Dark Flash began when he was unable to save his wife (Linda Park) from death.
However, despite being Walter West in the comics, Dark Flash is not Walter West in the film adaptation. And it is safe to say that the movie does not feature Walter West.
Moreover, based on the McFarlane figure mentioned above (see picture), it appears that the real Black Flash is that person, and Dark Flash is just a name.

Dark Flash Spoiled in The New Trailer
We are aware that there are two different versions of Barry Allen in the film, thanks to pretty much every trailer that has been released forThe Flashso far. The wise choice is for one of them to become Dark Flash. Alternatively, the character might appear as a new Barry Allen or a new Flash.
One of the most widely held theories aboutThe Flashmovie is that Dark Flash is a clone of Allen. While the two Barrys will initially be allies, it is possible that the new Barry Allen will eventually assume the identity of Dark Flash.
Well, the Dark Flash from the DC Extended Universe now sounds more like a villain than the Death figure of the speedster.
It will be interesting to see howThe Flashmovie develops Dark Flash. The second half of the story is probably whereThe Flash’s Dark Flash will even make an appearance. We are eager to see how everything plays out on the big screen! And the wait is soon to be over.
