Known for his roles inPride,His Dark Materials, and1917,Andrew Scottbelieves that what he played inSpectreis not something that belongs to his territory.
While speaking withGQ, Scott said that he himself thinks that he was not that good in the movie. He said:

“If I’m honest, it’s not a territory that I feel like I would want to go over again. Now I know who I am a little bit more, I feel like the work that I’m just interested in doing is more in the grey areas. I suppose it’s just that I didn’t think… I just maybe wasn’t that good in it.”
The actor was offended that the audience did not remember his performance in the film. He toldThe Guardian:

“At the Baftas recently someone was like, ‘Oh, you’re the hot priest from Fleabag, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is writing the Bond film, will you play the villain?’ I thought, ‘Didn’t they see me in Spectre?’ That’s showbusiness! So, no more villains for me for a while.”
Spectrebecame a blockbuster hit, having gross earnings of $880 million worldwide.

Andrew Scott Thinks Being‘A Little Intimidated’In HisJames BondMovie Role
TheFleabagactor admitted that he was a little intimidated while playing the role of “C” in theJames Bondmovie. The magnitude of theJames Bondfranchise somehow affected his performance, he believes.
He said in an interview withVanity Fair:
“I found it difficult to be in that film. I think I could’ve just been a bit better. I think I allowed myself to be a little intimidated by the budget and the history of the franchise, and I don’t think I attempted enough to be original.”
He continued:
“I think I was maybe just not very confident, and one thing that I’ve definitely learned since then is that it doesn’t matter what the budget of a movie is. The same thing matters, it’s just simply about really good stories and stuff. It’s just to remember that, as an actor, the space between action and cut is exactly the same on a small budget movie, as it is a huge budget film. So to sort of attempt to still be relaxed and to experiment, I think to make a mistake and to make a fool of yourself is kind of important.”
Scott most recently acted with Billie Piper fromDoctor Whoand Bella Ramsey fromGame of Thronesin Lena Dunham’s medieval fantasy movieCatherine Called Birdy. His next movie isAll of Us Strangersto be released on 22 December this year.
