What Remastered Maps Could Be Coming to MW3?
Although prominent insiders@el_bobbertoand@charlieINTELbelieve that these maps will be available on day one, others believe that they may take the form of a premium DLC. The maps in question included in the leak are:
The biggest issue that fans and leakers have cited is that ifMW3only features maps from previousModern Warfaretitles, the game is essentially glorified DLC. Another worry within the community is that MW3 may not live up to the previous instalments. This is because it is being primarily developed by Sledgehammer Games instead of Infinity Ward who were the main studio behind the recentModern Warfarereboot.
Breaking:#MW3MP will reportedly have MW2 2009 launch maps fully remastered on Day 1, per @el_bobberto.

That would include Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, Highrise, Invasion, Karachi, Quarry, Rundown, Rust, Scrapyard, Skidrow, Sub Base, Terminal, Underpass, and Wasteland.

The concerns over the lack of new maps and content also line up with leaks thatMW3 is Confirmed to be Essentially MW2 DLC. In a statement to@charlieINTEL, an Activision spokesperson also confirmed thatModern Warfare 3will be priced at $70:
“As stated in numerous Activision Blizzard quarterly conference calls, Modern Warfare III is a premium release. It will be priced accordingly at $70 USD.”
Although it will be nice to see some of these classic maps remastered for a new generation of hardware a $70 price tag and limited launch content, may leave a sour taste for someCall of Dutyplayers.
