The highly-anticipated movie,Spider-Man: No Way Hometrailer gave us a glimpse into non-MCU Marvel characters who can make their debut in MCU. Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, William Dafoe’s Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx’s Electro, all are going to make their debut in the near future.
However, there are certain other non-MCU characters who can make a comeback in the Marvel multiversal cinematic universe. Here are 5 such characters to look forward to.
Tom Hardy’s Venom
It’s not Marvel Studios but Sony owning the rights to Spider-Man and associated characters. However, a few contractual deals have allowed Spider-Man to appear in MCU. And Tom Hardy has further sparked rumors about a possible appearance of Venom in the MCU.
He was seen sporting aSpider-Man: No Way Homehat giving rise to speculation that Venom might appear in future MCU movies.
Nicholas Cage’s Ghost Rider
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.introduced Ghost Rider as a modern character named Robbie Reyes recently. And this is one of the many live-action versions of the character. However, Nicholas Cage’s Ghost Rider will certainly be a fun inclusion to the MCU.
Now, Nicholas Cage’s Ghost Rider is certainly not the best adaptation of the character, but its appearance in the MCU will be exciting to see.
Silver Surfer from Fox’s Fantastic Four
Fox’s attempt at bringing Marvel’s characters on-screen had mixed reactions. The production studio took a few liberties with the source material. However, the on-screen presence of Norrin Radd/Silver Surfer in 2007’sFantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surferwas well-received.
Fans are eagerly waiting for Marvel’s Fantastic Four and they will certainly don’t mind bringing back Fox’s Silver Surfer on-screen.
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy to Become Ghost Spider
Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy from TheAmazing Spider-Mancan make a comeback in the multiversal cinematic universe. Her tragic death shook the fans. But they will certainly welcome her return to the MCU.
Gwen Stacy also has an alternate character who appearedSpider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. She has immense spider-powers in an alternate reality. And her name is Spider-Woman. However, her introduction into the 616 main universe allows her to take the name of Ghost Spider. Amidst severalTAMScharacters returning, it will not hurt bringing back Gwen Stacy.
Hugh Jackman as Old Logan with X-23
Fox’s X-Men franchise introduced the audience to several mutant characters. And they will love to see them return to the MCU. However, fans will particularly want to see Hugh Jackman return as Logan.
Although the actor has repeatedly denied returning as Logan, he could make a return as old Logan in the multiversal universe. Also, it will be interesting to see X-23 giving a go to her full potential.
